  • The main key feature of this housing scheme is that it will provide affordable housing. Houses that are constructed are basically 300 square feet with basic facilities like water, electricity and sewerage.
  • Financial support of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand will be provided for beneficiaries from the general category. SC and ST category applicants from rural areas will get 1.75 Lakh.
  • In urban areas, SC and ST beneficiaries will get up to Rs 2 Lakhs.
  • In the urban areas, beneficiaries can construct multi-storey apartments in cities like Bangalore.
  • Priority will be given to 30% for SC, 10% for ST and 10% for minorities in some schemes at the time of allotment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant should be a permanent resident of Karnataka.
  • The annual income of the family in a rural area is not more than Rs. 32000/-. In an urban area, the family income is not more than Rs 42000/-.
  • The benefit is only given to families who are homeless and do not have a permanent home.
  • Applicant age should be at least 18 years.

  • The main benefit of this scheme is a subsidy which is 1.20 Lakh in rural areas. The Schedule caste and Scheduled tribe subsidy amount is 1.75 Lakh. In urban areas, SC and ST beneficiaries get Rs 2 lakh.
  • If any beneficiary takes a loan on behalf of this housing scheme, then the interest rate is 6.5% per annum. Beneficiaries will get a subsidy on interest
  • This scheme applies to both rural and urban areas.
  • Low-income groups and economically weak sections will get priority in the scheme. If you belong to SC, ST, OBC and special category, you will get priority in this scheme.
