In 2017 Kerala government launched the Imbichibava Housing scheme for its citizens. This scheme is basically for minority women who live in Kerala. The scheme works under the Minority Welfare Department, which provides financial assistance to minority women. This scheme works on rehabilitation, in which women who are widows, divorced, abandoned and belong to minorities like Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Parsi, Jain and Sikh religions get financial support.
Recently Directorate of Minority Welfare, Government of Kerala, released an application form for this scheme. If you want to apply under the Imbichibava Housing Scheme 2025-26, then you have to download the application form and submit it to the concerned department. Under the scheme of Rs 50,000 will be allotted to each applicant who will be selected for the scheme. This amount is given only for the renovation of their house. The beneficiary can use this amount to improve the infrastructure of the house.

The Imbichibava house maintenance scheme is beneficial for the minority families. Divorced, widows and abundant women who belong to minorities are eligible to take advantage of the scheme. The carpet area of the house is not more than 12000 square feet. Applicants should be the only single earning head in the family, and having BPL card members will get a preference.

- The house you want to renovate their house, carpet area is not more than 1200 square feet.
- The house will be in the name of the applicant or spouse.
- The applicant should be one breadwinner in the family.
- Any woman who is a widow with children and receiving any type of regular income from the government or semi-government scheme for house assistance within the last 10 years is not eligible for the scheme.
- Families having physically and mentally challenged children or with one girl will get preference.

- On the homepage, you will see a news and updates section. In this section, you will see applications invited for the Imbichibava Housing Renovation.
- Now you have to click on it, and then the application form will open on your screen.
- You have to fill out the application form with all the necessary details.
- Also, attach a copy of the land tax receipt last year, 2024-25 and other documents like your ration card, etc.
- You also have to attach a certificate that proves that no assistance has been received by you for house construction from the government or any semi-government department.
- You have to submit your application form manually in the Minority Welfare section at your respective district collectorate.
The scheme will help thousands of minority women who do not have any other financial support for their families. This Rs 50,000 amount can be used for the renovation and reconstruction of their house. This is basically a grant, and you do not have to pay it back.
