Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant recently launched the Majhe Ghar Yojana for Goa citizens. The scheme will give benefits to nearly 50% of the permanent residents. For this scheme, the government will be commodifying the land and a 20-point program is prepared. To implement this housing scheme, government land will be issued. Application forms for this scheme will be released when all legal formalities are completed. The complete process is transparent, and the government have a motive to give benefits to the eligible person.
Majhe Ghar Yojana Goa
This is one of the schemes, helps to resolve the housing issue in Goa. Residence of Goa who do not have their own house, now get an affordable house Majhe Ghar Yojana. This will give relief to thousands of Goans. Families who got flats 3 decades ago are also eligible for transfer and will also become a part of rehabilitation. Families who get 100 square metre plots also get ownership in their name.

Goa is a popular tourist destination, but it faces various challenges due to Limited land. This will increase property prices. Many residents who live in structures where they do not have ownership. Now with this scheme government will regular these and give ownership to the residents under the 20-point program allotments.

In this scheme government will give permanent residence to Goans.
With the scheme, 50% citizens will get residency in this scheme.

This will also lower the housing crisis and target land for fewer families to provide them with homes.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must be a permanent resident of Goa and have at least 30 years of domicile.
Priority will be given to the native Goans.
The government also give priority to landless families.
Structures built before the 2014 government will accommodate them and provide them with ownership.
Low-income group families will get priority.
Applicant must not have any other property in Goa.

The forms to avail services under the Majhe Ghar Yojana shall be available from 15th September with Dy. Collectors, Mamledars & Panchayats.
After that application form will be available at local government offices. You can take form from the deputy commissioner’s office, panchayat or the municipal corporation office.
You can submit your form online on the Goa Housing Board website or visit the nearest government office.
Fill the application form with all the personal details, income details and property information.
Before submission, you have to pay a non-refundable registration fee.
Submit your application with documents and verify with the help of OTP.
Then select the scheme and location from the dashboard.
